The youngster is currently on loan at Granada

Andreas Pereira has claimed he will be staying at Man United for the foreseeable future despite being sent out on loan this season.

The 20-year old has barely featured for the Red Devils first-team during his time at the club but he has impressed in several friendlies and for the reserve side, so much so that many are claiming he is a big talent.

Despite this – and despite impressing during United’s pre-season friendlies this year – he was not selected as part of Jose Mourinho’s squad and was shipped out on loan to Granada for the season.

First-team action next season

It led to many believing that Pereira would be another young talent sold on by Mourinho and not given any action in the red of Man United.

However, the player himself has rubbished those reports himself by claiming that his future is at Old Trafford.

According to the 20-year old, Mourinho has told him he was impressed with what he has seen of the player and that he could play first-team football for the Red Devil;s next season based on his performances in Spain this year.

It’s an added incentive for the youngster to push on at Granada now and make sure he stands out so that when he does return to England next summer, he will know that he will be playing first-team football a lot more at Man United in 2017/18.
