The winger’s future has been in doubt

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has denied that Gareth Bale will be leaving in the summer transfer window.

The world’s most expensive player has been the subject of interest for several Premier League giants including Manchester United and Chelsea.

Bale’s future at the Bernabeu is in doubt after his Bentley was attacked by fans. This happened at the Real Valdebebas training complex, the day after the 2-1 El Clasico defeat to fierce rivals Barcelona.

Spanish Media outlet, Sports Daily Marca, criticised the 25-year old’s performance during that match by saying: “It’s obvious Perez has paid €100m (ÂŁ86m) for someone worth €20m (ÂŁ17m).”

However, Perez said: “We would never listen to any offers for Bale no matter what the bid was.”

He also added: “He is the key to the club’s future, just like I cannot imagine a future without Cristiano Ronaldo.”

The Welsh international joined the Galacticos from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.
