The Real Madrid chief has claimed he ‘isn’t contemplating’ Bale leaving the club

Man United have been handed a blow in their pursuit of Gareth Bale with the news that Real Madrid chief Florentino Perez ‘isn’t contemplating’ a move that would see the player leave the club, according to reports today.

The former Tottenham man has been linked with a huge move back to the Premier League this summer, with the Red Devils more than willing to offer him a lot more regular gametime at Old Trafford.

It’s also been reported that the La Liga giants were willing to sell one of their key players to make room for Kylian Mbappe, who they have been desperate to bring to the club.

Karim Benzema was one named linked with the exit door, as was Isco but the latter of those two is close to agreeing a new deal with the club after impressing in the second half of last season.

Bale is the one name that has been hinted could be offloaded to fund a move and make room for Mbappe and if this is true, then Man United would be more than willing to take him off their hands.

However, it has now emerged that Madrid are no longer keen to let the Welshman leave. They believe Bale has a bright future at the club and so are not willing to let him switch clubs anytime soon.
