Arsenal striker to join Galatasaray

Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski has arrived in Turkey in order to hold formal talks with Galatasaray.

The German World Cup winner is expected to leave the Emirates Stadium permanently over the summer after spending the second-half of last season out on loan with Serie A side Inter Milan.

Uncertain Arsenal Future

After failing to impress during his loan, Podolski didn’t want to make a permanent switch to the San Siro and returned to England in order to hold future talks with Arsenal and Arsene Wenger.

According to Podolski‘s agent, Wenger wants to keep the versatile forward at the club but couldn’t promise him first-team football.

The failure to provide first-team football for the 30-year-old has seemingly pushed him out of the exit door and he has now been pictured arriving in Turkey ahead of talks with the Super Lig side.

Struggles in North London

Podolski fell down the pecking order at Arsenal last summer after the arrivals of Danny Welbeck and Alexis Sanchez, and after sitting on the bench for most of the season, he was then sent out to Inter for regular game-time.

During his three years in the Premier League, Podolski make 60 league appearances, scoring 19 goals along the way.

It’s believed Arsenal will get just over ÂŁ2million for the forward.
