Out of favour Arsenal forward to complete switch to Istanbul
Lukas Podolski is to fly to Turkey next week to complete a permanent move to Galatasaray.
The German World Cup winner has been exiled from the Gunners squad, after spending the second-half of the season with Serie A side Inter Milan.
But Inter have opted against a move for the 29-year-old forward, having found the back of the net only once in 16 outings.
And a lack of first-team opportunities will leave Podolski surplus to requirements in North-London, and free to make the move to Istanbul.
Lukas’ Turkish delight:
Galatasaray were keen to land Podolski last summer, however they are confident about securing a move for the forward this time around, who is valued at around £9million.
With that in mind, he is due to fly to Istanbul to complete the transfer – which would bring three-years at the Emirates Stadium to an end.
