Juventus director Giuseppe Marotta has revealed that the club wouldn’t have the option to keep midfielder Paul Pogba if a ‘rich’ club came in for him.

The France international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Juventus Stadium this summer, with Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona all showing keen interested in the box-to-box midfielder.

Last season’s Champions League Runners-Up have said all summer that they want the 22-year-old but Marotta have recently admitted that the Italian giants will not raise his salary to keep him.

In a recent interview with Quotidiano Sportivo, Marotta said: “Pogba’s future? In modern football the decision of the player is paramount, like with (Carlos) Tevez.

“It’s obvious that we would like to keep him until he stops playing, but we can’t afford to do anything crazy in terms of salaries and some clubs can guarantee twice what we can.” he added.

Current La Liga and Champions League champions FC Barcelona are the bookmaker’s favourites to sign the former Manchester United player, who has developed to be one of the best midfielder’s in the world since arriving in Turin in 2012 from the Red Devils.

Pogba has played an influential role in Juve’s dominance in recent years, with him winning three consecutive Serie A titles and one Coppa Italia in his three years with the club.
