Arsenal vs Swansea: Probable Lineups,Team News, Match Facts

We look at how the Arsenal vs Swansea starting lineup could look like at the Emirates tonight! Arsenal host Swansea City tonight at the Emirates Stadium looking to go level on points with second-place Manchester City with a game-in-hand, but in recent years, The Swans have been quite a bogey side for Arsene Wenger’s men.

Gary Monk‘s side were victorious over Arsenal at the Liberty Stadium earlier on this season after going a goal behind, and in recent seasons they’ve beaten The Gunners 2-0 at the Emirates thanks to a Michu brace and also drew there 2-2 after Mathieu Flamini scored an own-goal.

Due to their FA Cup responsibilities, Arsenal still have four games left in the campaign, and with three of them coming at home against lower-league opposition, they will be confident of finishing runners-up behind Chelsea.

As for Swansea, they are sitting eighth in the league, just four points behind Southampton with a game in hand as Monk’s men look to make a late dash for Europa League football.

It’s been an incredible season for Swansea and they will want to try and cause another upset in North London tonight, but what sort of team will they field.

Arsenal vs Swansea Starting Lineups

Here are some team news and our predictions for both sides.

Arsenal predicted lineup vs Swansea – Team news and our predicted Arsenal XI

Arsenal have been known to field the same time as much as possible in recent weeks, and with everybody seemingly back fit, it’s give Arsene Wenger a great chance to show some consistency in the team.

However, with Danny Welbeck likely out and Aaron Ramsey touch-and-go after suffering a knock against Hull City, there could be a slight change in the midfield.

The rest of the team is likely to remain the same, but here is how we have The Gunners looking tonight.

Arsenal Predicted Starting XI: Ospina, Bellerin, Koscielny, Mertesacker, Monreal, Coquelin, Cazorla, Ozil, Walcott, Alexis, Giroud

So we have gone with Walcott replacing the doubtful Ramsey. The Welshman has been deployed on the wing in recent weeks, so we’ve gone a like-for-like with Theo getting a rare start.

However, another potential option would be for Wenger to push Ozil out wide and put Jack Wilshere back into the starting XI after making his return against Hull City last week.

Another team that like consistency is Swansea. Rarely touch the starting XI if possible and we expect very few changes from the side that beat Stoke City 2-0 last weekend.

Monk’s side are pushing for Europe and they know three points at the Emirates could give them a massive boost going into the season finale.

Jordi Amat is ruled out for the remainder of the season, but luckily for Monk, Bafetimbi Gomis has recovered from a hamstring injury which has kept him out of the last three games.

Swansea Predicted Starting XI: Fabianski, Taylor, Williams, Fernandez, Rangel, Ki, Shelvey, Dyer, Sigurdsson, Montero, Gomis

So there are our picks for both sides.

Will there be any changes or do these two sides look about right?
