Champions League Semi-Final Second-Leg

All eyes turn to Spain tonight as the Champions League Semi-Final Second-Leg sees Real Madrid host Juventus with the need to turn around a 2-1 deficit.

The reigning champions were undone in Turin thanks to goals from Alvaro Morata and Carlos Tevez, but a potentially crucial away goal from Cristiano Ronaldo keeps the holders in pole position to advance to the final.

Last night saw FC Barcelona cement their spot in this year’s final in Berlin thanks to an astonishing game in Germany. Barca lost 3-2 on the night to Bayern Munich, but went through 5-3 on aggregate after they won the first leg 3-0 at the Nou Camp.

With a potential El Classico final ahead, all eyes will be on the Bernabeu tonight to see whether Ronaldo and co. can overturn the one-goal difference, or whether Juve can hold firm and book a spot in the final for the first time since 2002/2003.

The last time Juve reached a Champions League final was when they beat Real Madrid in the Semis, so they do have a reason to be optimistic ahead of tonight’s tie.

But how will the two sides likely line-up against each other tonight?

Below is our predicted starting XI for both sides.

Real Madrid Team News and Prediction

There is no injury news for Carlo Ancelotti’s men, so the Italian will have a full squad to choose from.

The only doubt was around Toni Kroos, who had to come off during the 2-2 draw with Valencia at the weekend, but it’s believed that he will be fit to play.

Ancelotti’s men are in confident mood ahead of the game and he believes his side has what it takes to turn around the 2-1 first leg result.

“We feel good and if we play like this on Wednesday then everything will go well,” the Italian said.

Predicted XI: Casillas, Carvajal, Ramos, Pepe, Marcelo, Isco, Rodriguez, Kroos, Ronaldo, Bale, Hernandez

Juventus Team News and Prediction

As for the Italian champions, they will be boosted with the news that Paul Pogba is fit enough to feature.

The Frenchman missed the first leg due to injury, and has been out for two months before returning at the weekend. Pogba scored in his return and his admitted that he feels fine ahead of the match tonight.

“I did lots of running and didn’t feel anything so I think I’m well set,” he said.

Predicted XI: Buffon, Lichtsteiner, Bonucci, Chiellini, Evra, Pogba, Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, Morata, Tevez

So that is how we have both teams lining up for tonight’s massive Semi-Final.
