Premier League trio dealt Kramer blow

Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool have been dealt a blow with the news that Christian Kramer, of Bayer Leverkusen, would prefer to go to Napoli if he leaves the German club.

Kramer’s agent, Emanuele Marchetti, revealed that the Serie A side would be the first club informed should the player wish to leave.

Marchetti said: “For the moment he is very happy and settled in Germany. If things changed, Napoli would be one of the first clubs to be informed.”

United had been keeping tabs on Marchetti, and would have been looking to make a move in the January transfer window.

But Napoli boss Rafa Benitez is a known admirer of Kramer, and is known to be in the market for a powerhouse central midfielder to provide some beef to complement the style.

Benitez was rumoured to be looking at United midfielder Marouane Fellaini. But Kramer is seen to be a cheaper option, making better financial sense.
