Liverpool defender could be out for the rest of the season

Daniel Agger was carried off on a stretcher at Anfield during his side’s defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.

Following the 2-1 loss. manager Brendan Rodgers talked about the injuries sustained by two of his players.

He said: ‘Fabio Borini had a badly swollen ankle. Agger’s doesn’t look good, the medics were saying it might be a medial ligament. We’ll see.’
