Italy vs Sweden Preview

Italy vs Sweden Preview: The two teams meet in Group E of Euro 2016. Italy and Sweden go head-to-head at the Stadium Municipal, Toulouse in today’s 2pm kick-off (BST).

Italy are top of Group E after they delivered an excellent defensive performance which helped them on their way to a 2-0 victory over Belgium in their opening game; Emanuele Giaccherini and Graziano Pelle the goal scorers.

On the other hand, Sweden find themselves in second place after coming from behind to draw with home nation Republic of Ireland in their first match. Ciaran Clark’s own goal earned the Swedes a point after Wes Hoolahan had opened the scoring for the Boys in Green.

Antonio Conte’s Italians can guarantee a place in the last 16 of the competition with a win, whereas Eric Hamren’s Sweden side could leapfrog Italy to the top of the group if they take all three points.
