The French club want the Chile international as a replacement for Ibrahimovic

PSG are lining up a summer move for Alexis Sanchez, according to reports from Chile.

The 27-year old has impressed in England since making the move to the Emirates Stadium from Barcelona back in 2014 and Laurent Blanc is eager to bring him to Paris.

The PSG boss believes that Sanchez could be the perfect replacement for Ibrahimovic, who looks highly likely to be leaving the Ligue 1 club at the end of the current season. Ibrahimovic is arguably the French club’s best player but his current deal is set to expire at the end of the current season and it doesn’t look as if he will be signing a new deal.

PSG would need to table a large bid

To fill the gap that the Sweden international will leave, Blanc wants to bring in Sanchez.

It’s likely that Sanchez wouldn’t be playing the same role as Ibrahimovic does if he were to make the move – Cavani would be pushed into the central striker role and it would leave a gap on the left, one that the Chile international could certainly fill.

It would take a lot of money for Arsenal to even consider selling one of their best players, especially with the Gunners hoping to agree a contract extension with Sanchez soon. However, PSG aren’t short on money and they could bid whatever it takes to get their man.
