Former Blue Ray Wilkins believes Chelsea will never find another Didier Drogba.
But he knows of one player that will be perfect for the Stamford Bridge outfit when Diego Costa leaves the club.
That player is Everton star Romelu Lukaku, who has been linked with move to Chelsea for quite sometime now, however, both clubs are being coy about the whole thing.
Lukaku did reveal that he’s currently speaking to a club at the moment regarding a move, but he’s not said which club that is.
Meanwhile some Chelsea FC news outlets are saying Everton have told Chelsea they want cash AND this player for Lukaku.
Whatever the case, Wilkins says while the Blues will never find that type of player Didier Drogba was, Lukaku is the man they are searching for.
“If you look at Chelsea over the last x amount of years, you’ve had the Drog,” Wilkins told Sky Sports.
“They will never find another Drogba, he was the best.
“Then they had Costa and now Lukaku just is a perfect fit.
“If Costa was to go I think he would be the perfect fit to come into Chelsea.”
