Cristiano Ronaldo has silenced homophobic abuse he received from Koke during the Madrid derby between Real and Atletico this weekend.

The Portugal captain scored a hat-trick on the night to help Real beat Atletico 3-0, but the rivalry of the clubs turned sour, owing to the fact of this personal battle between the two players.

Ronaldo has had a fantastic year after winning the Champions League with Real Madrid and Euro 2016.

He silenced Koke after the Spain international is reported to have called him a ‘f*ggot’.

According to Cadena Cope, the 31-year-old quickly responded: “A f*ggot with a lot of money, you b*****d.”

The argument continued in the tunnel once the game had finished and Ronaldo then questioned Atletico’s bottle for losing the Champions League to capital rivals Real for the second time in the space of three years.

Real left-back Marcelo also got involved and is said to have taunted Atletico right-back Juanfran for his penalty miss in the 2015/16 Champions League final in Milan.
