Real Madrid to appoint former manager as Zidane replacement

Despite winning five trophies in 2017, Real Madrid is fourteen points behind Barcelona in the La Liga table and boss Zinedine Zidane is feeling intense hit.

With Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Aleix Vidal finding the back of the net in the El Clasico, a 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Barcelona was a big blow to the former France star.

And if reports in Don Balon are to be believed, the club wouldn’t mind bringing back Carlo Ancelotti in the mix, if the team continues to flounder under Zidane.

Ancelotti, who had left the club in 2015, had joined a list of managers including Fabio Capello and Bernd Schuster, who were let go of despite bringing home the trophy.  A sensational return, however, could be on the cards.

Under Ancelotti, the Los Blancos won the 2014 Champions League, but he couldn’t carry on after failing to win any title the next year.

Carletto, as he is called, was the manager of Bayern Munich from December 2015 till September this year, after he was sacked following the side’s 3-0 defeat to PSG.
