According to a report from Darren Lewis from The Mirror, Chelsea are interested in signing Alexis Sanchez this January
Sanchez’s contract finishes at Arsenal next summer and there is a possibility that the Gunners could sell him when the window re-opens so they can cash in rather than lose him for free.
Manchester City had apparently tried to snatch up Sanchez in the summer and they were reportedly pretty close to getting him, with the Chilean keen to join up with Pep Guardiola.
However, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is keen to add another forward to his squad as he does not seem to trust Michy Batshuayi and Sanchez certainly fits the bill.
The 28-year-old is said to be happy living in London so he may decide to reject a move to City in favour of a transfer to Stamford Bridge, if the Blues will meet his wage demands, which they most are likely to do.
