Vlaar was subject to heavy transfer specualtion throughout the summer but remained at Villa Park despite big clubs such as Manchester United and Arsenal showing great interest.
And recording to reports, Vlaar is now in negotiating a new contract with the Villans which will surpress transfer specualtion over his future.
The 29-year-old is currently opening up his options but is willing to discuss terms with any contract offered by Villa, who he joined in 2012.
