Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah quicker than Torres, Owen and Suarez to reach 20 premier league goals for the club

Harry Kane brought up a century of Premier League goals with a nerveless 95th-minute penalty as the match ended in a 2-2 draw.

Mohamed Salah put Liverpool ahead after just three minutes at home to Tottenham to continue his blistering form this season and reach a personal milestone in record time. Former Liverpool stars Fernando Torres, Michael Owen and Luis Suarez all needed more matches than Mohamed Salah to score 20 Premier League goals for Liverpool.

The Egypt international, signed from Roma in June for a fee which could rise to £45million, pouned on a defensive error from Eric Dier to slot past Hugo Lloris and notch his 20th Premier League goals for the Reds in just 25 league appearances.

Salah’s goalscoring exploits have come as something of a surprise after he struggled to make an impact during his first stint in English Premier League with Chelsea. He struggled get game time under the current Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane already has more Premier League goals to his name than any Spurs player. Alan Shearer congratulated Harry Kane after the Tottenham striker became the 27th player to reach 100 goals in the Premier League. He is now the second-fastest player to score 100 goals in the competition’s history, having taken 141 matches to reach three figures.
