Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has insisted that there is no problem with having so many options in midfield. The Spain international is just one of the many players who can play in the ‘Number 10’ role for The Gunners, with players like Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere battling for the role.
“Ultimately it’s easy to connect with guys like Wilshere, Rosicky and Mesut and the players who play in the centre of the park,” said Cazorla, “plus I think that our style of play is ideal for me, Rosicky and Mesut as we’re players who enjoy linking up in tight spaces. From there, the results take care of themselves as we are really enjoying ourselves.”
Arsenal are currently a point clear at the top of the Premier League, with a clear improvement in results over last season. Cazorla himself scored both goals in the 2-0 win over Fulham at the Emirates last weekendm and feels he is returning to the peak of his powers.
“Each player is different and the good this is we all compliment each other. We’re all comfortable playing with each other. I hope this continues from now until the end of the season.”
Cazorla may be rested this weekend as The Gunners play in the FA Cup at home to Coventry.
