Manchester City hit Newcastle United for six and Chelsea lose again

Another Saturday of Premier League action has finished and once again there has been surprises. During the course of the day 24 goals were scored in the league.

The early kick off was at Selhurst Park as Tony Pulis returned to his former club with West Bromwich Albion. Crystal Palace looked to continue their fine form in the league looking for 5th win of the season. The challenge in front of them was West Brom who have yet to concede an away goal this season.

For a second game in a row West Brom were forced into an early defensive change as former Manchester United defender Jonny Evans limped off.

The Deadlock was broken in the 68th minute when Yannick Bolasie headed home from close range. Yohan Cabaye then turned from provider to scorer when he scored a penalty in the 88th minute after a foul on Wilfried Zaha, making it 2-0.

3:00pm Kick-Offs

The Foxes travelled to Norwich in fine form having lost only once to The Gunners so far this season. Norwich have had a slow start to this season with a mixture of results. Leicester continued their form, winning 2-1 with goals from Vardy and Schlupp. Norwich did pull one back to make it 2-1 in the 68th minute through Mbonaki Bezua however Leicester held on for the three points.

Elsewhere and Aston Villa slipped to their 6th defeat of the season after Arnautovic scored on the 55 minute. The loss leaves Villa four points adrift of West Brom in the relegation zone. The Potters emerging from Villa Park 1-0 winners.

In Bournemouth it was the clash of the newcomers, as The Cherries welcomed Watford. The resulting 1-1 draw shows how much each time didn’t want to lose. Murray opened the scoring the 28th minute after heading home, however Watford responded in the 45th minute when Ighalo scored.

Manchester City demolished Newcastle at the Etihad after Aguero scored five to seal the points. Newcastle did take the lead which lasted until the 42nd minute. Manchester City are now top of the league until Manchester United play Arsenal tomorrow. The game ended up with City winning 6-1

Will he go or will he stay? No-one seems to know, however Dick Advocaat guided Sunderland to a good 2-2 draw against high flying West Ham United. Dick will be disappointed not to take all three points after leading the Hammers 2-0.

Evening Game

Jose‘s season continues to go from bad to worse after suffering another loss , this time to Southampton. Willian put the Blues ahead with a free kick in the 10th minute before Davis, Mane and Pelle scored to secure the points for The Saints.

Chelsea are now 16th in the league after losing 3-1 leaving them 10 points behind leaders Manchester City.
