Schalke are now set to go head to head with Borussia Dortmund to try and sign Chelsea youngster Thorgan Hazard on loan next season. sillyseason has previously reported earlier this week, that Borussia Dortmund were lining up a move for the younger brother of Eden Hazard.
Now, Schalke also want to swoop for him and are set to do battle with their German rivals to sign him. The 21-year old is currently in his second loan spell at Belgian club Zulte Waregem but he has admitted he doesn’t want to spend another season in his homeland. It isn’t clear yet whether Jose Mourinho has plans for him at Stamford Bridge or not next year and Hazard himself hinted he would like a Premier League or Bundesliga move.
The latter may end up coming to fruition, with two German sides now trying to secure a season-long loan deal for the midfielder, who has bagged 14 goals this term so far.
