The 20 year-old playmaker has been heavily linked with a move to England and both Tottenham and Aston Villa have sent scouts to Spain to track the starlet, who has been a key player in Javi Gracia’s side.
Villa boss Paul Lambert has been keen to bolster his midfield options and could need a replacement for the on-loan Tom Cleverley, who may return to Manchester United at the end of the season.
But it seems that the midfielder will remain with Malaga and will turn off interest from the Premier League as he looks likely to sign a new deal with the club.
According to Spanish newspaper SUR, Darder will sign a one-year deal with Los Boquerones.
“I’m a bit away from the topic,” he said. “The contract seems to be well. It is a matter of days. I think that they have to fix a couple of things. It is my representatives and the club talking.”
