Manager wants Chelsea striker on loan
St Etienne manager Christophe Galtier has confirmed he’s interested in signing Chelsea striker Loic Remy on a short-term loan deal.
The Frenchman is seen as a backup option at Stamford Bridge, playing second-fiddle to Diego Costa, and the Ligue 1 outfit are keen on taking him on loan for the second half of the season.
However, they may face an uphill task in securing the deal after the striker netted Chelsea‘s consolation goal against Leicester City on Monday night.
If Chelsea were to let Remy leave on loan, it would leave them with just Costa and Radamel Falcao as striker options, but that hasn’t stopped Galtier from confirming his interest.

“Loic Remy has a very interesting profile. He is part of a very big club where he is playing little.
“We will see if it is possible that Chelsea loan him us, but we will need him to partake in a part of his salary. I do not know if it is possible. But Loic is listed.”
