The Real Madrid man has been a target for various clubs recently, with Chelsea being heavily linked with making a move for the Spaniard.
Arsenal have been looking for a big name striker to bring in for a while, and according to reports they are once again very keen on Morata, but will undoubtedly face stiff competition if they are to bring him to the Emirates.
Rumours are suggesting that Madrid will hold out for around £50m for the striker, and this price tag may be a little offputting for the officials at Arsenal, but this is not to say that the Gunners will be put off altogether.
While Morata has an impressive goal scoring record at Madrid, if he is going to cost Arsenal anywhere near the mentioned price tag, then they will be expecting a 20+ goal a season return.
With Arsene Wenger and his future still in doubt, it is hard to take any transfer links as concrete, but this deal is one that makes sense for all parties.
Morata would no doubt find himself being given regular first team football if he was to move to North London, and Arsenal have been crying out for a striker capable of carrying them through tough games and scoring big goals when it matters most.
While we cannot be sure on this one, it will be no surprise if Arsenal do try and compete, and see if they can bring the talented Spanish international to the Premier League.
