Marseille goalkeeper available on the cheap

Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda, according to reports in France.

The 31-year-old goalkeeper is out of contract at Marseille in six months time, and could be available on the cheap next month with the transfer window set to open.

Liverpool are reportedly in the market for a new goalkeeper, with Jurgen Klopp desperate to provide Simon Mignolet with serious competition for the number-one jersey, with Adam Bogdan failing to impress.

Goalkeeper Hunt

Klopp has been linked with several goalkeepers, including Stoke City‘s Jack Butland, but it looks like Mandanda could be a realistic and cheap option.

According to L’Equipe, Mandanda’s agent has been in talks with Liverpool and has offered the goalkeeper to the Premier League outfit in a deal worth just ÂŁ3million.

Despite being offered the ‘keeper on the cheap, Klopp is still said to be after a bigger name, and is holding out for either Timo Horn or Marc-Andre Ter Stegen in the summer.

Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Norwich City are three other Premier League clubs who have been linked with Mandanda.
