Torres or Suarez?
Steven Gerrard has revealed which of Fernando Torres and Luis Suarez was the better player during their time at Liverpool.
Suarez joined Liverpool four days after Torres left Anfield for Chelsea in January 2011.
He struck 69 Premier League goals in 110 games for the Reds, becoming one of Anfield’s greatest players. Torres had a very similar record, netting 65 times in 102 league games.
Gerrard paid tribute to the pair after being asked which striker he most liked to play with during his time at the Merseyside club.
“Torres and Suarez (were the two strikers I loved setting up),” he said on BT Sport.
“Both different and both unplayable.
“Suarez has more about his game and can do more than Torres.
“But they’re both deadly”
