According to recent reports, Diego Costa is on the verge of rejoining Atletico Madrid.

Antonio Conte has already informed the Spain international, via a blunt text message, that he is not part of his first-team plans next season.

Diego Costa joined Chelsea in the summer of 2015, after Chelsea triggered his release clause of ÂŁ32 million, from Atleti after leading them to the Spanish league title. Then he went on to score 20 goals in 24 league appearances for Chelsea in his debut season winning the League and League Cup.

His second season was not a fruitful one, where he scored 12 goals in 28 games as Chelsea slumped to a 10th place finish.
