Goalkeeper ‘happy’ in Italy
Arsenal are planning to send Wojciech Szczesny back on load to AS Roma for another year.
Italian media are claiming the Serie A side are very keen on keeping the goalkeeper around for at least another season, and want to extend his deal.
The source also suggests that Arsenal have no plans to bring Szczesny back to the Emirates and Roma are even keen to make the deal permanent.
Petr Cech is firmly embedded between the sticks for the Gunners and David Ospina looks likely to remain his backup for the time being.
Szczesny struggled at Arsenal and came under fire after he was accused of smoking in the showers in January 2015.
He’s since tried to rebuild his career in Italy, and he’s started 42 games for Roma over the last season.
