Cologne goalkeeper Timo Horn has rejected a potential move to Liverpool.
Reports in the German media over the weekend suggested that Liverpool were keen to add the 21-year-old to their squad, as a replacement for current goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.
But the highly-rated shot stopper is set to remain in the Bundesliga, having made 14 league appearances for 12th placed FC Cologne, after playing a key role in their promotion back to the Bundesliga last season.
Horn has also revealed that he hopes to pen a new deal with his current employers, having made a bright start to the season, with many suggesting that a call-up to the full German national team could be on the cards.
Speaking to Cologne based newspaper, express.de, he said: “I have said it more than once: I am in talks with FC Koln [regarding a new contract]. I want to sign on with my club.”
