We look at first-team players who need to leave Stamford Bridge

With the transfer window officially opening today, plenty of deals are expected to be finalised and announced in the next few days and weeks.

Some clubs have already been busy, with Liverpool signing five, Arsenal signing Petr Cech and Manchester United signing Memphis Depay, but some other clubs will wait a bit longer until the right person comes about.

However, as well as signing players, clubs need to sell players too and in this article, we are going to focus on five players that should leave Chelsea Football Club.

It’s tough breaking into the champions’ first-team and it’s even harder to cement a spot in it, but for these five players, SillySeason feel it’s beneficial for them to leave Stamford Bridge and resume their career elsewhere.

So lets start the top-five list off.

5) Filipe Luis

The left-back only arrived at Chelsea last summer, but it’s clear he’s not first-choice material and it doesn’t look like changing for the season ahead.

Chelsea brought the defender from Atletico Madrid, joining Diego Costa, but unlike the Brazilian striker, the Spaniard has failed to settle in England and has struggled to impress at The Bridge.

Luis is seen as a back-up option at left-back, with Cesar Azpilicueta the preferred choice, despite him being a natural right-back.

According to numerous reports, Luis could already be on his way back to Spain with Atletico keen on resigning him.
