Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a bid for Manchester United star Anthony Martial ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old became the most expensive teenager in world football when ex-United manager Louis van Gaal signed him for £36million in 2015.
Martial, who has netted 24 goals in 72 games for United, has found chances a little limited in Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up this term and is believed to be upset with not playing enough at Old Trafford, despite performing impressively whenever he has played recently.
The Daily Mirror claim Spurs are preparing a lucrative summer deal for Martial, with boss Mauricio Pochettino being a keen admirer of the France international.
Spurs scouted Martial when he was at Monaco, before he completed his move to the Theatre of Dreams two years ago.
It is understood that Pochettino wants to sign attacking players with proven ability as Vincent Janssen’s form has yet to pick up at White Hart Lane.
The Netherlands international has found the Premier League difficult so far this campaign, scoring just one goal in 15 league games.
