The Colombian has become one of the most sought after forwards in Europe after boasting an impressive goal tally, with 60 goals in 91 appearances for Porto in the past two seasons.

This season has been no different as Martinez has already netted 12 times from 16 games.

This has attracted interest from the Premier League, in particular Arsenal and Liverpool, who both enquired about the 28 year-old as they look to bolster their attacking options.

However reports from Fichajes in Spain have claimed that Tottenham are the latest team to show an interest in the in-form striker, with boss Mauricio Pochettino supposedly disappointed with Emmanuel Adebayor’s slow start to the campaign.

The Togolese striker, who flourished under old boss Tim Sherwood, has netted just twice from 10 league appearances.
