Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes as found himself watching from the sidelines at Tottenham for the past two seasons with Hugo Lloris and Brad Friedel ahead of him in the goalkeeping pecking order.

Heurelho Gomes has been quoted by Sambafoot as claiming he has two offers from clubs in Brazil and the 32-year-old`s contract will expire in the summer of 2014,

The neglected keeper is said to be keen to quit Tottenham as he looks elsewhere to kick-start his career again.

Gomes feels he still has a lot to offer despite not playing much football in the last two years.

He thoughouly enjoyed a loan spell at Hoffenheim last January before the move was cut short by injury and the former PSV Eindhoven stopper claims Tottenham blocked him from joining the German club on a permanent basis.

“Yes, I have two offers from Brazil. I have negotiated with Tottenham to go for free, so the possibility is high that I will find my home country,” Gomes told Sambafoot.

“I’m 32, I feel good, it is at this age that the career of a goalkeeper actually begins. If I find the competition in January, I still think my chances for World Cup 2014 are high.

“I often tried to leave Tottenham, but they have always kept from me going.

The goalkeeper admits his situation at White Hart Lane has not improved under current Andre Villas-Boas after blaming former boss Harry Redknapp for keeping him out of the first-team picture.

“Very little has changed,” added Gomes. “I had few opportunities with him.

“When the coach changes, you think positive things will happen to you. It has not been the case.

“The fact that he speaks Portuguese did not change anything for me. He couldn’t help me anymore, I regret it.

“I am part of the club’s history. When we played the quarter-finals of the Champions League, I was the goalkeeper. In two years since, I have hardly played.”
