The defender will not be offered a new deal at Anfield, according to reports

Kolo Toure could be on his way out of Anfield this summer, with Liverpool not preparing to offer him a new deal.

According to reports, Jurgen Klopp is not likely to offer the 35-year old – who is out of contract this summer – a new deal at the club, with the manager instead preferring to start bringing in his own players and shape the squad how he wants it.

Matip incoming

He’s already bringing in Joel Matip, another defender who could replace Toure and Matip is also likely to be thrown straight into the first-team.

The ex-Man City player has featured 26 times for the Reds this season and despite putting in some impressive performances at times, it is believed that he isn’t seen as a key player and is likely to be let go on a free transfer.

At age 35, the defender might not have too many years left of his career but he could certainly prove to be a free and useful addition to a lot of squads if he becomes a free agent this summer.

He has experience at a multitude of top clubs, as well as international experience and if he decides to continue with his career then a number of sides could be interested in signing him for nothing when his contract expires.
