The Parisians are targeting the 20-year-old United striker

Paris Saint-Germain have spoken to Manchester United striker Anthony Martial’s representatives, to discuss a possible move to the Parc des Princes.

In what has been an underwhelming season for United, Martial and several other young players have been the only bright sparks in a rather dull campaign for Lousi Van Gaal’s men, and Martial is now understood be attracting interest from his homeland.

Martial’s representatives have had approaches from several clubs, and one of them is understood to be Ligue 1 champions PSG. The club are eagerly looking for a replacement to the departing Zlatan Ibrahimovic, and believe the 20-year-old is the perfect replacement.

However, the France international insists he is happy at Old Trafford, and has no plans to leave the club, although speculation about Van Gaal’s future has left some uncertainty as to who will be in the United managerial dug out next campaign, although the Frenchman would be expected to stay in any incoming manager’s plans.

Martial has scored 11 goals in 30 league appearances this campaign, having joined the club from AS Monaco for ÂŁ36 million last summer, which could rise to as much as ÂŁ58 million, dependant on the club and player’s achievements.

But while Martial is being targeted by numerous clubs this summer, the striker will be hoping to send his side into the Champions League places, on the final day of the season, ahead of local rivals Manchester City.

The Red Devils need to beat Bournemouth, and hope that City slip up at Swansea, if they are to steal the final Champions League spot. And the outcome of that match could dictate whether Van Gaal is at United next season, with the FA Cup final still to be played.
