Man Utd chief executive Ed Woodward is to fly out to Spain in hope of completing a deal for Pedro.

With Angel Di Maria currently out in Doha undergoing a medical before his £44m move to PSG, United are now able to make their move.

Woodward is to attend a meeting which has been scheduled with Barcelona to finalise a transfer on Tuesday.

It is thought The Reds are happy to pay the £22m that Barcelona want, but are hoping to negotiate a price of £18m.

Pedro’s first team opportunities have been limited due to the Messi, Neymar and Suarez partnership.

Mum’s the word

This weekend, Pedro’s Mum has confirmed that her son would be making the move to the Premier League.

Jaime Lorenzo, president of San Isidro, which was the 28-year-olds very first club has said: “The other day, Pedro’s mother told us he was leaving for England.”

“I think it would be a good challenge for him and he will have more playing time.”

“We will send him a gift! If the agreement is €30m at least €450,000 belongs to us, even though these contracts have some specific clauses.”
