Manchester United have agreed a record £750million kit deal with German manufacturing giants Adidas and this could allow them to tempt Marco Reus into an Old Trafford move.

United also managed to strike up an impressive £350million deal with Chevrolet meaning new manager Louis van Gaal has plenty of cash at his disposal to spend over the summer.

Reports in Italy from Tuttomercatowebclaim the Dutchman will look to add to new signings Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera by landing the Dortmund winger.

There were also rumours that Brenden Rodgers was willing to spend £45million to bring Reus to Anfield after getting an impressive sum of money in the Suarez deal.

However it now seems that any offer made by the Reds can be matched by United and they will look to have the upper hand in the race to sign the German.

It is also believed that Louis van Gaal is looking at Reus’ team-mate Mats Hummels and is willing to splash £20million to land the defender but will face competition from Barcelona who are also linked with the centre-back.
