Striker wants remainder of his contract paid out in full

Manchester United striker Robin Van Persie has informed the club he wants his contract paid out if he is to leave to join Turkish side Fenerbache.

The veteran striker has one-year left on his current deal at Old Trafford and he has told the board he wants it paid out in full if he is to leave the club.

Contract Pay-Out

Van Persie is on a £250k-a-week contract, meaning The Red Devils would have to pay out £12million to see the striker leave the club for the Super Lig.

According to reports in England, the Dutchman has agreed to join Fenerbache on a four-year deal, with his current contract demands being met by the Turkish runners-up, but he also wants a pay-off from his current club.

It’s believed Fenerbache will be paying United £5m for the 31-year-old striker, who joined the club back in 2012 for £24m after agreeing a switch from Arsenal.

RVP at Old Trafford

In his debut season at Old Trafford, Van Persie helped United to their 20th Premier League title.

However, the striker had a tough campaign throughout the 2014/2015 season, struggling for form and fitness under Louis Van Gaal, scoring just 10 times in 29 appearances.

With United’s interest in Tottenham Hotspur‘s Harry Kane hotting up, Van Gaal is keen to offload Van Persie as soon as possible despite their Dutch connections.
