Arsenal are planning a huge summer move for young Schalke stay Julian Draxler. Draxler was a linked heavily with Arsenal during the January transfer window, and were expected to complete a £37million deal, but the move fell apart before deadline day. It was thought that the premier league leaders may have missed their chance, with Bayern Munich monitering the 20 year old.
“We are not against spending,” said Wenger, after Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday, “but at the moment we are focused on the 2nd half of the seson, and when summer comes we will see what happens.”
Arsenal signed 27 year old Kim Kallstrom on deadline day on loan, but everyone knows it wasn’t the deal Wenger wanted to pull off.
