Manchester United defender Jonny Evans could be set for a move to the Hawthorns after the two clubs opened talks about a potential deal.
Evans has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and has seen first-team opportunities hard to come by under manager Louis van Gaal.
The Red Devils have set a £12million asking price, but with the defender only having one year left on his contract, the Baggies are hopeful they can secure a cut-price fee.
Moving on
West Brom were trying to finalise a deal for Tottenham Hotspur defender Federico Fazio but that move appears to have collapsed and Everton have shown strong interest.
Speculation surrounding Joleon Lescott’s future at West Brom still remains unclear but Evans’ arrival would ease that saga.
If the 27-year-old does sign he will be reunited with former Manchester United teammate and club captain Darren Fletcher.
