David Sullivan admits club have signed him permanently

West Ham United owner David Sullivan has let slip that the club has agreed to sign Manuel Lanzini on a permanent basis in the summer.

The midfielder is currently on a season-long loan at Upton Park after agreeing to leave UAE side Al Jazira Club. The loan deal had a clause in it which meant West Ham could make it a permanent deal at the end of the season should they wish.

After an impressive season for the Hammers, Slaven Bilic made it clear to the board that he wanted Lanzini signed permanently, and in a recent interview, Sullivan has admitted it’s already a done deal.

Lanzini Deal Done

The 67-year-old co-owner was asked what it would mean for West Ham to finish in the top-four and achieve Champions League football, to which he replied with: “I know it’s worth about £9.4m.

“And you can hardly get a player for that!

“We’ve just signed Lanzini on a permanent deal for that sort of money.”

Lanzini has had an impressive season for West Ham, so much so, Liverpool were interested in signing him back in January.
