William Carvalho could make Premier League move

Premier League target, William Carvalho, could leave Sporting Lisbon in January, according to the club’s manager, Marco Silva.

Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been linked with a move for the Portuguese midfielder, and they will all be on red-alert after the latest comments from the Sporting manager.

The 22-year-old was strongly linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium over the Summer, but a late failed bid all-but ended speculation, and Carvalho stayed in Portugal.

However, Silva now knows that they could lose the powerhouse if they fail to advance in the Champions League, and has admitted that a move to England could be on the cards in the New Year.

‘William is a target for English teams, but I want him to play his game,’ he said.

‘He’s not playing at the same level as last season because last season he was a surprise, but he’s improving. William has many offers. Let’s wait till January.’

If a Premier League side is set to sign Carvalho, they will have to splash at least £37million for the Portugal international.
