Arsenal youngster ready to spend season-long loan in Holland

Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo is set to complete his season-long loan to Ajax for the forthcoming campaign.

The Frenchman spent last season out on loan with Premier League side Crystal Palace, but he failed to make an impact at Selhurst Park and returned to North London at the end of the 2014/2015 campaign.

Sanogo arrived at Arsenal two years ago after leaving Ligue 1 side Auxerre, but he failed to break into the first-team due to Olivier Giroud being the main man up front.

The 22-year-old has netted one competitive goal for Arsenal, during their 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, but due to competition for places, he was then sent out on loan to Palace, where he only scored one in 11.

Ajax Loan

According to reports in Holland, Sanogo has agreed a one-year loan deal to Ajax with no view to making it permanent next year, meaning he will return to the Emirates Stadium at the end of the campaign.

Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, are claiming that Sanogo has snubbed a chance to join Ligue 1 side Lille on a season-long loan in order to join Ajax, where he will link up with Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp.
