Paris Saint-Germain striker ready to leave club in the summer

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ready to quit Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season and is desperate to secure a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal his desired destination.

The Swedish international could have started his career in North London, but refused to take part in a trial under Arsene Wenger when he was just a teenager.

Years later he could finally be set to wear the Arsenal red as he eyes a move to the Emirates Stadium, before ending his career either in America or the Middle East.

Striker to Premier League?

Despite Ibrahimovic saying earlier this week that it’s maybe too late for him to play in the Premier League, reports have emerged this morning suggesting contact has been made with several clubs already.

Furthermore, the striker is keen on working with Wenger before he retires, and it’s believed Wenger is also keen on the idea.

Manchester United and Chelsea have also been linked with signing the Swede, but it looks like Arsenal could be in pole-position with the striker wanting a move to North London.

The deal won’t take place in January as the 33-year-old plans to run down his contract in Paris, but it could take place next summer if both parties remain interested.

Ibrahimovic has made it clear already that he wants to retire either in America or in the Middle East, but he does want at least one season in the Premier League before he retires.
