Michael Owen says he is expecting to see The Blues extend their winning run in the Premier League
Chelsea made it 10 wins in a row in the Premier League on Wednesday night when they sealed a 1-0 victory at Sunderland thanks to Cesc Fabregas’ first-half goal.
The Blues march into Crystal Palace vs Chelsea flying high at the top of the Premier League table and a nice six points clear of second-place Liverpool.
Palace, However, are aiming to bounce back after they conceded a late goal to Manchester United to lose 2-1 to the Red Devils at Selhurst Park on Wednesday night.
However, former Liverpool striker Owen is expecting to see Chelsea claim all three points against Alan Pardew’s men on Saturday.
Writing for his column over at BetVictor, Owen said: “Chelsea will equal their top-flight record of 11 successive wins from September 2009 if they take the points in Saturday’s early kick off, and it is hard to see past another Blues win.
“The Eagles don’t have the best of records in London derbies of late – five points taken from a possible thirty – and I can see that trend continuing against this rampant Chelsea side.”
Chelsea finished 10th and without a trophy last season but have been in fine form in recent weeks following the appointment of Antonio Conte back in the summer.
