11 clubs file complaint against Leeds United

No less than 11 Championship clubs have submitted an official complaint against Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa and his team.

The Leeds boss or “El Loco” as he is known, was recently accused by Derby of spying on their game and training days before they faced the Rams.

Bielsa honestly admitted to the mistake and justified that it was common practice in Spain, Germany and Argentina. However, the Leeds boss went on to justify his actions instead of pleading innocence by saying that he “does it relieve stress”.

Unless we are mistaken, the most important aspect of a manager’s job is managing that stress and not many clubs in England have bosses who relieve stress by spying. Now the EFL has confirmed that as many as 11 clubs have lodged a complaint against Leeds following their manager’s justification press conference which turned out to be more of a silent dig at Derby; not good for a man who has been accused of being ethically wrong.

“The EFL has received a communication on behalf of a number of Championship clubs in regard to the current matter involving Leeds United,” an EFL spokesman said. “The request attributed to 11 clubs will be considered as part of the current investigation that has commenced.”

Only time will tell us if the EFL will take an action or not.
