Manchester United are reportedly in talks to sign Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho.
Last year Philippe Coutinho moved to Barcelona from Liverpool. He went on to became the second most expensive Brazilian after Neymar Jr. after completing his move to the Nou Camp.
The player was a star performer at Anfield and was pursued by Barcelona for a long time before the Reds agreed to a move. Coutinho joined the Catalan side in January and was brimming to join the side, where the likes of Messi, Iniesta and Suarez were playing. Coutinho was tipped to become the replacement for Iniesta this season.
However, Coutinho has been unable to break into the side under Valverde despite the departure of Iniesta. He has been struggling to become a member of the starting eleven and it is now being reported that he may be set to join another English side Manchester United.
The Red Devils are making up serious ground under new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but the team still needs a solid number 10, who can pull the strings. Currently the role is filled by Pogba or Mata but neither of the two players are a natural number 10; a role Coutinho will fill up perfectly.
