New Chelsea signings this season 2026/27

All Chelsea Signings: Summer Transfer Window 2026

Morgan Rogers (23, from Aston Villa) – £117m

The British transfer record signing. A powerful, versatile No.10 who can drive through midfield lines and improve the starting XI immediately. Signed a six-year deal with an option for a further year. Will wear the No.17 shirt.

Marco Palestra (21, from Atalanta) – ~£47-48.5m

The Serie A Defender of the Year for 2025/26. A right-back who was Chelsea’s first signing of the summer, arriving on a contract until 2033. Will wear the No.2 shirt.

Maxence Lacroix (from Crystal Palace) – £52m

A commanding centre-back brought in to strengthen the heart of the defence. Signed a six-year deal.

Denner (18, from Corinthians) – ~£8.5m

An exciting long-term prospect at left-back. The cousin of Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhães, he agreed to join Chelsea back in January 2025 and finally arrives on a seven-year deal.

Valentin Barco (22, from Strasbourg) – Undisclosed

The versatile Argentine international was Chelsea’s ninth signing of the window. Initially a left-back, he was successfully converted into a central midfielder at Strasbourg and is expected to continue in that role. Signed a contract until 2033.

Geovany Quenda (19, from Sporting CP) – ~£40-42.5m

The Portuguese wonderkid winger who helped Sporting win a league and cup double last season. Signed an eight-year deal. His move was first agreed back in March 2025.

Emmanuel Emegha (22, from Strasbourg) – Undisclosed

The Dutch striker arrived from Chelsea’s sister club, having scored 14 Ligue 1 goals last season. Was named Strasbourg’s captain for the previous campaign. Signed a seven-year contract.

Danny Welbeck (35, from Brighton) – ~£5m

A surprise but significant signing. The experienced former England international had his most productive Premier League season yet with 13 goals. Signed a two-year contract and was Chelsea’s eighth summer arrival. Notably, this is the first time in four years Chelsea have paid a fee for a player over 26.

Dastan Satpayev (17, from Kairat Almaty) – ~£2m

The Kazakh wonderkid dubbed “the next Sergio Agüero”. Already has 54 goals in Kazakhstan — including a Champions League goal. Will officially join once he turns 18 in August 2026.

Chelsea new signing confirmed 2026/27

Chelsea have been extremely active in the 2026 summer transfer window under new manager Xabi Alonso.

The headline arrival is Morgan Rogers, who joined from Aston Villa for a club-record £117m, making him the most expensive British player in history.

Other confirmed signings include defender Marco Palestra from Atalanta, centre-back Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace, and winger Geovany Quenda from Sporting CP.

Chelsea have also added striker Emmanuel Emegha from sister club Strasbourg, Brazilian left-back prospect Denner, and Kazakh wonderkid Dastan Satpayev.

Veteran striker Danny Welbeck joined on a two-year deal from Brighton, while versatile midfielder Valentin Barco also arrived from Strasbourg. Left-back Pep Chavarria is reportedly close to joining as well.

Has Chelsea signed Danny Welbeck?

Yes, absolutely. Danny Welbeck’s signing is widely confirmed.

He joined from Brighton on a two-year deal for a fee reported to be around £5m.

He is Chelsea’s eighth summer arrival and the first player over 26 the club has paid a fee for since 2022.

Welbeck, 35, scored 14 goals in 40 appearances for Brighton last season and has 42 England caps.

Who are Chelsea’s biggest signings?

Morgan Rogers is Chelsea’s biggest signing by a significant margin.

Signed from Aston Villa for £117m, he is the most expensive signing in Chelsea’s history.

This fee surpasses the previous club record of £107m paid for Enzo Fernandez in 2023.

It also sets a new transfer record for a British player.

Other major signings in the 2026 summer window include Maxence Lacroix (£52m) and Marco Palestra (~£42-48.5m).
