A home game against Southampton awaits Steve McClaren’s men 

Newcastle United will kick-off their era under new manager Steve McClaren with a fixture at home to Southampton at St James’ Park, on Saturday 8th August. 

However, it doesn’t get easier for the Magpies with games against Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all to follow in the first two months of the season.

Everton visit on Boxing Day, before Newcastle start the New Year with a trip to the Emirates Stadium to play Arsenal.

They conclude the top-flight campaign with a home game against Tottenham Hotspur on May 15th.
