2. Brad Friedel
Brad Friedel was a Premier League nomad during his time in the English top-flight. Having started his career with Newcastle United as a youngster, where he actually didn’t make any first-team appearance, he joined Liverpool in 1994.
However, work permit issues saw the American’s debut being delayed until 1998. He spent the majority of his time playing as second-fiddle to David James and Sander Westerveld.
Friedel became a regular at Tottenham when he joined them in 2008, albeit he made only one appearance in the last three seasons at the White Hart Lane.
